The exist ing roadway crown was <br />"rounded " and d id not support the design cross-section. The add itional amount of hot m ix <br />asphalt re-establishing roadway crown was not anticipat ed during final e ng ineering plan <br />preparation . <br />Quantity over runs in beam guard ra il, posts , non-flared terminals , anchors , labor and traffic <br />contro l were also experienced when guardrai l sections we re added , or fie ld adjusted due tos ite <br />cond it ions not anticipated during final plan prepa ration . <br />Cost analysis: <br />The contractor offered extensions of un it costs on a ll material over runs , wh ich was deemed <br />reasonable by Public Works .
