BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO AUTHORIZE A NOTICE <br />OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE MANASTASH ROAD BRIDGE #76132 <br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The bridge on Manastash Road over the South Fork of Manastash Creek <br />(#76131) is in need of replacement due to deteriorating superstructure and <br />foundations threatened by scour; and <br />WHEREAS: The plans and specifications for the Manastash Road Bridge 476132 <br />Replacement are complete; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works received Local Bridge Program Federal <br />Funding (BRAC) as well as Rural Arterial Program (RAP) funding for this <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS: This Construction Project is included on the Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Plan and the Annual Construction Plan; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby direct the Director of Public Works to prepare <br />a Notice to Contractors for a call for bids. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that bids will be received until 10:00 am on Wednesday, June <br />6, 2018 at the office of the Department of Public Works, 411 North Ruby Street, <br />Suite 1, Ellensburg, Washington, to be publicly read aloud after 10:00 am on <br />Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in the Department of Public Works, Ellensburg, <br />Washington. <br />DATED on this 15`h day of May, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Paul Jewell, Commissioner <br />
