BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />UPDATING THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION DISADVANTAGED <br />BUSINESS ENTERPRISE POLICY FOR BOWERS FIELD <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners previously approved a disadvantaged <br />business enterprise (DBE) policy under Resolution No. 2016-029 as required <br />by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works is submitting airport aid applications for projects at Bowers <br />Field; and <br />WHEREAS: The current DBE policy is set to expire and needs updated to the current FAA <br />template; and <br />WHEREAS: The adoption of a new DBE policy is required as a condition of airport aid <br />application award, if successful; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby adopt the updated Bower's Field <br />Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Policy for use for all airport improvement <br />projects; and <br />FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners directs the DBE <br />Liaison Officer, Ms. Candie Leader, sign the updated Federal Aviation <br />Administration DBE Policy on behalf of the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />DATED on this 1 st day of May, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Paul Jewell, Commissioner <br />
