L;10
Julie Kjorsvik 0y
From: Karen Jackson <karenscj@hotmail.com> 1
Sent: Monday, December 09, 2013 1:59 PM -i
To: Kittitas County Commissioners Office
Subject: Proposed Marijuana Site
Dear Commissioners,
I was devastated to read in the Daily Record about the proposed sites for the purpose of growing marijuana -
one of which is off of Weaver Road, less than a mile from our house. My husband I and left the west side to
have a better quality of life and to make a difference in the Kittitas County community.
I am a former teacher. It has been my dream to have an at-risk youth program using the horses on my
property. How can I possibly do this program with a pot growing operation growing so close to my home? My
husband works in the medical community. We both want to see people, young and old, living healthy
lifestyles. How can one lead by example with this negative influence?
It is my greatest hope that you will consider the impact on the people of this valley, especially our youth, and
not let this happen. It shouldn't be about money, but what's best for the people in this wonderful valley. It
will never be the same if you allow this. Please do the right thing here. Don't allow the pot growers to take
over this valley.
Karen Jackson
206-353-9061
