<br />The Kittitas County Fire Marshal’s Office stated the <br />following: Upon review of the above permit application, I <br />have the following comments/requirements: <br /> <br />~A separate Event Permit along with an appropriate site <br />plan is required for this event. A fee of $165.00 plus <br />a $110.00 issuance fee shall be submitted with the <br />Fire Marshal’s Office Event Permit application. <br />~ All structures shall have a minimum of one 2A-10B:C <br />fire extinguisher readily available for use. Any LPG <br />tank shall be secured to prevent displacement. <br />~ Please be aware of general trip hazards from extension <br />cords. Also, extension cords may not be piggy- <br />backed/daisy-chained together. <br />~ Parking shall be such that fire apparatus access is <br />maintained at all times. <br />~ The fire apparatus access roads shall remain free from <br />obstructions. <br />~ Please ensure that all required permits have been issued <br />at least 14 days prior to the event. <br /> <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting a waiver to the following: <br /> <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 5.20.100 – Penal Bond – <br />Bond of Indemnity since the event is located at Silver <br />Ridge Ranch and the waiver was granted for their 2014, <br />2015, 2016 & 2017 event with no damage to any property, <br />they feel 2018 will be no different. <br /> <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 5.20.160 – Closing Hours <br />since their event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. and go <br />until 1:00 a.m. According to the County Code, events shall <br />not be open to the public before the hour of 7:00 a.m. and <br />shall remain open to the public until such time as approved <br />by the Board of County Commissioners in the application <br />process. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Event Application from ABATE of <br />Washington to hold the 2018 Spring Opener contingent <br />upon them supplying the County with the appropriate <br />Endorsements & Certificate of Liability Ins., naming <br />Kittitas County as an insured by 6/1/2018; approve granting <br />a waiver of Kittitas County Code 5.20.100 (Penal Bond- <br />Bond of Indemnity) and Kittitas County Code Chapter
