THERMOi FLUIDS
The Responsible Solution
Add air into the hose slowly so as not to create a burst of energy releasing from the hose.
It is not required to completely evacuate the line if you are going to reconnect to the next
compartment in succession. Simply move enough material so the end of the hose when
raised will not spill when disconnecting and reconnecting. Disconnect and slide hose over to
reconnect.
The final tank compartment, near the cab, usually remains partially empty due to weight
limitations. This leaves more head space available for hose evacuation and will allow you to
completely empty the hose prior to disconnecting.
Housekeeping
Your truck is a highly visible asset in view of the public and our customers. It also supports
you in making a living. It is the driver's responsibility to maintain his truck in a clean and
presentable condition at all times.
A dirty truck is not only a bad reflection on you and the company; it can be a safety hazard
which might obscure a leaking connection or other defect.
Truck filtration equipment and elements must not be modified or bypassed without approval
from your supervisor.
Buckets are to always be used under the discharge hose connection to your truck tank or
customer's tank. Use buckets wherever and whenever necessary to catch drips and spills.
Ensure that the bucket is properly labeled for the material it will contain.
All drips and spills must be cleaned up as quickly as possible. Never leave a customer or
TFI facility without cleaning up any spill. Immediately report all spills greater than 1 gallons
to your supervisor and request assistance. Report any pre-existing ground stains at a
customer's facility to the customer and to your supervisor. Your report will help minimize
possible TFI liability in the event that the customer's facility is ever subject to site
remediation.
Your truck is to have a TFI-supplied spill clean-up kit that includes, among other items,
absorbent granules and pads. Do not hesitate to use the kit! Any time a kit is used, it is
the driver's responsibility to replenish its contents.
Prior to departure from any loading or unloading stop, check dome lids and valves to insure
that they are properly closed and fastened. Check all hoses and manifold connections to
insure that they are properly plugged, capped and stored.
