BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. <br />RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH <br />ASPHALT MATERIALS FOR 2016 <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on February 2, 2016, to <br />furnish Asphalt Materials for 2016; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on February 18, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Kittitas <br />County Public Works and two (2) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bids of Granite <br />Construction Company and Columbia Ready Mix, Inc. be accepted for Schedules <br />"A" and "B" to ensure availability of product; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2016 Asphalt Materials Schedules "A" and <br />"B" to Granite Construction Company and Columbia Ready Mix Inc. to ensure availability of <br />product, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said <br />bidder(s). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the <br />contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said <br />bidder(s). <br />DATED this 1st day of March, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY.
