BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.: 2009 - <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN KITTITAS <br />COUNTY AND CHELAN COUNTY FOR CHELAN COUNTY TO CONDUCT <br />ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF A PORTION OF COLOCKUM PASS ROAD IN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34 authorizes any county to contract with any other county to perform <br />any governmental service, activity or undertaking which each contracting county <br />is authorized by law to perform; and <br />WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Department of Public Works desires to contract with Chelan <br />County to conduct routine maintenance of a portion of Colockum Pass Road in <br />Kittitas County as that area is located at the Kittitas County/Chelan County <br />border; and <br />WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners constitutes the legislative <br />authority of Kittitas County and desires to enter into the attached agreement as <br />being in the best interest of Kittitas County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners hereby approves the attached Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County and <br />Chelan County for Chelan County to conduct routine maintenance of a portion of Colockum Pass <br />Road in Kittitas County. <br />ADOPTED this day of 2009. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Alan Crankovich, Chairman <br />Paul Jewell, Vice -Chairman <br />Mark McClain, Commissioner <br />
