Board of Health Minutes <br />April 28, 2017 <br />2 of 3 <br />• Level I- low risk TFE is $185.00 to include one inspection and a permit for all fanners' market <br />events in Kittitas County for a 12 month period. Level 1 -low risk includes serving commercially <br />prepared food with single -use articles, coffee stands, and other commercially pre-packaged food <br />items with limited handling and preparation. <br />Type A <br />• Event that is either a single day, or between 2-21 consecutive days. The fee for additional days is <br />$40 and goes into effect after the first day for low and moderate risk levels, and after 5 days of <br />operation for high risk. <br />Paul Jewell noted that at the January public hearing for approval of the 2017 Public Health <br />Department Fee Schedule, representatives from the Farmer's Market Board and vendors were in <br />attendance and raised concerns about the fees being charged by the health department. The <br />vendors, who serve a variety of different foods in different risk levels, were all paying the same <br />fee. After discussion the board asked the health department to work with the Farmer's Market <br />Board and vendors to come up with a new proposal for fees. That is what the board is looking at <br />today. Amy Fuller stepped to the microphone and clarified the permit types are specific to state <br />code. Laura Osciadacz clarified the temporary food service A is for I event and B is for multiple <br />events. Ms.Osiadacz also asked if this information was shared with the Upper County Farmer's <br />Market vendors. Ms. Fuller clarified that this was not as the department was asked to work with <br />those that attended the public hearing with concerns about the fees. No one from the Upper <br />County Farrier's Market was present. Laura Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution 2017-02 <br />adopting the amended 2017 fee schedule to include the new Farmer's Market Fees. Obie O'Brien <br />second. All approved. Motion 05-01 carried to approve the Resolution 2017-02 adopting the <br />amended 2017 fee schedule to include the new Farmer's Market Fees. <br />Paul Jewell thanked staff and members of the Farmer's Market Board/vendors for their work. <br />Commissioner Jewell noted that he has received comments from market vendors stating they were happy <br />to work with public health. <br />Motion 05-02: Motion to approve Resolution 2017-077 adopting the amended 2017 fee schedule to <br />include the new Farmer's Market Fees.
