BOARD OF HEALTH <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 006 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A HEALTH DEPARTMENT FUND BALANCE <br />POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD), <br />is charged with the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health in the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health includes having and <br />following a policy regarding fund balances; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this policy to establish guidelines and a process for maintaining the <br />four main pieces of KCPHD’s fund balance: Operating Expenses (OPEX) Reserve, <br />Tuberculosis, Capital Assets, and Unassigned, which ensures accountability and <br />the ability to cover current and future department needs. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, hereby approves the fund balance policy attached hereto as Exhibit “A.” <br /> <br />ADOPTED this day of___________, 2017. <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Paul Jewell, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: John Asriel M.D , Vice-Chairman <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ Obie O’Brien , Board Member <br />Candi Blackford <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM:
