Statement of Work for Reimbursable Agreement <br />WA Kittitas (1), Teanaway Road Hydraulics Improvements <br />I. INTRODUCTION (project work summary and location) <br />The proposed project is along Teanaway Road at approximate Milepost (MP) 6.90 and at <br />approximate MP 8.64 with approximate coordinates 47.25480, -120.8754 and 47.27587, - <br />120.8821 respectively. <br />Objectives of the project <br />• To improve storm water drainage, fish passage, and clean water passage <br />• To reduce pavement damage during high water and roadway maintenance cost <br />• To improve safety through the section by providing a facility that safely accommodates <br />vehicular traffic and bike/pedestrian for locals and visitors <br />• To reduce possible roadway closure during high water runoff and overtopping <br />SCOPE <br />• Remove existing undersized culverts and replace with the following (both locations are fish <br />bearing stream and having roadside stability issues): <br />• MP 6.9, Story Creek — Remove 9'x 3' concrete box culvert. Install 19'W x ]0'H x 60'L <br />concrete box culvert or appropriate structure as identified throughout the design; <br />• MP 8.64, Lick Creek (MP 1.36 North Fork Teanaway Road) — Remove 36" Corrugate Metal <br />Pipe (CMP) and 54" Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), and re-route stream channel dependent <br />on hydraulic analysis - Creek is not flowing through the natural downstream channel, which <br />created flooding. Construct a single span 80' long bridge or appropriate structure as identified <br />throughout the design; <br />• Reconstruct roadway, repave, and restripe; <br />• Install guardrail <br />If Right -of -Way and/or easement acquisition is necessary to complete the project, Kittitas <br />County will be responsible for the acquisition. Federal Highway Administration -Western <br />Federal Lands (FHWA-)YFLI will reimburse Kittitas County their portion of the approved and <br />applicable acquisitions costs. <br />If utility relocation is necessary to complete the project, Kittitas County will be responsible for <br />the relocation. Any applicable reimbursement to the utility company will be governed by State <br />law and regulation, or Occupancy Permits in accordance with 23 CFR PART 645.103. FHWA <br />-WFL will reimburse Kittitas County their portion of the approved and applicable relocation <br />costs. <br />
