KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 15, 2017 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing to consider a <br />potential Speed Limit Reduction on Carroll <br />Road and Amend Section 10.08.020 of the <br />Kittitas County Code. <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, numerous residents along Carroll <br />Road attended a Public Works Study Session <br />requesting assistance with speeding trucks <br />along Carroll Road. Public Works deployed <br />data collecting devices and has completing <br />processing of speed data. Public Works is now <br />ready to share the data collected with the <br />Board of County Commissioners and area <br />residents. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing to consider a Speed Limit <br />Reduction on Carroll Road and Amend Section <br />10.08.020 of the Kittitas County Code. <br />HANDLING: Return a Signed Notice of Public Hearing to <br />Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing, Vicinity Map, Speed <br />Study results. <br />LEAD STAFF: Lucas Huck, County Road Engineer <br />
