KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT #2 H CEIVE® <br />Ellensburg, WA � JUL 2 , 2011 <br />RESOLUTION 17- 10 <br />SUBJECT: Concurrence with Request of City of Kittitas to Annex to Kittitas County <br />Fire District #2, Request Kittitas County to Call a Special Election on the <br />Annexation <br />WHEREAS, the City of Kittitas approached Kittitas County Fire District #2 to discuss a <br />combined fire and EMS response for both jurisdictions; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 24, 2017, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 17-013, stating it <br />intent to annex to the District pursuant to RCW 52.04.061; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners desires to concur in the determination of <br />the City Council to annex the City to the District; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT REOLVED, by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Kittitas County Fire District <br />#2, Kittitas County, Washington, as follows: <br />Section 1. The Board of Fire Commissioners finds that the public interest will be <br />served by the annexation of the City of Kittitas, Washington, to the Kittitas <br />County Fire District #2. Therefore, the Board of Fire Commissioners <br />concurs in such annexation as requested by the City of Kittitas in Ordinance <br />17-013 passed by the City Council on July 24, 2017. This Resolution <br />constitutes the Board's official concurrence with the annexation pursuant <br />to RCW 52.04.061 <br />Section 2. The District Fire Chief is authorized and directed to cause a notice of <br />intention for the annexation of the City of Kittitas to Kittitas County Fire <br />District #2, to be filed with the Kittitas County Commssioners, and to cause <br />a certified copy of this Resolution to be filed with the Kittitas County Board <br />of Commissioners and the Kittitas County Auditor. <br />Section 3. The Board of Fire Commissioners requests that the Kittitas County Board <br />of Commissioners shall by resolution call a special election in both the City <br />of Kittitas and the Kittitas County Fire District #2, in conjunction with the <br />
