State High School Rodeo,the Northwest Fly Fishing Show,and regional meetings that find our <br />central location convenient. <br />3.Real Property:If real property acquisition is a component of the project,please explain. <br />Include any information of property already secured or evidence of the ability to secure the <br />real property. <br />There is no real property acquisition component of this project. <br />4.Coordination:Please explain how this project has been coordinated with other <br />jurisdictions as well as affected stakeholders.Please include letters of support from <br />stakeholders. <br />This project has been coordinated with several groups of stakeholders.To begin with,the <br />development and adoption of the Kittitas Valley Event Center Master Plan included numerous <br />outreach efforts and robust involvement by the general public.These efforts included voter <br />surveys,focus group meetings,the inclusion of a citizens advisory committee,open public <br />meetings with the Board of County Commissioners,open house events,consultation with the <br />Fair Board and the Rodeo Board,and final adoption through a public hearing. <br />The actual design of this project included the creation of an additional stakeholder committee <br />which included a member of the Board of County Commissioners,two members from Kittitas <br />County 4H clubs,a member of the Fair Board,and county staff.The final design was adopted <br />by this stakeholder committee. <br />5.Studies:Please attach any feasibility or other studies that demonstrate linkages between <br />the proposed project and the anticipated tourism impacts.Also please include your <br />operations/maintenancestrategy and other plans for long-term project sustainability (how <br />the facility or facilities will be operated and maintained over at least five years following <br />completion). <br />The Kittitas County Event Center Master Plan is attached for your reference. <br />Current designs are also included for your reference. <br />Kittitas County currently owns and operates the Kittitas Valley Event Center.A director, <br />support staff,and maintenance staff is currently in place.The facilities proposed as this project <br />currently exist on the site and are already operated and maintained by county staff.This project <br />will simply replace and/or improve those existing facilities and we anticipate that they will <br />actually reduce the maintenance burden through increased efficiencies and more easily <br />maintainable construction materials and overall design.Existing revenue models are in place to <br />pay the ongoing costs associated with operation and maintenance and it is believed these <br />improvements will enhance those revenues.
