Iyour story <br />Since its founding in 1923,the Ellensburg Rodeo has become a fixture in Central Washington. <br />The Rodeo garners massive support from the community and is a source of great pride.When <br />ranchers first moved into the Central Washington area,the Yakama Indians formed friendships <br />and partnerships with the ranchers,which are still recognized to this day.Every Labor Day <br />weekend,thousands of volunteers "fuel the fire"of the event by coordinating multiple days of <br />activities. <br />The Rodeo is consistently ranked as one of the top Rodeo's in the country and draws riders <br />from all over the United States.The Rodeo serves as a large draw for people of all ages from <br />around the region and occurrs during the Kittitas County Fair. <br />The following principles guiding the design to the facility will be reflected in the architecture: <br />•Enjoyable and safe experience. <br />•Improve revenue potential. <br />•Enhance rodeo performance. <br />•Destination event. <br />•Respect historic context. <br />•Maintainable. <br />design development report •alsc architects (01-24-2017)
