KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: June 6, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Special Event Application for <br />Swiftwater Cellars to host their Summer Concert Schedule: <br />Battle of the Tribute Bands 7/2/2017; Kings of Country <br />8/8/2017 & Super Diamond: Neal Diamond Tribute <br />8/18/2017. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Commissioners office received 3 Special Event <br />Application’s from Colette Graham requesting permission <br />for Swiftwater Cellars to host: Battle of the Tribute Bands <br />7/2/2017; Kings of Country 8/8/2017 & Super Diamond: <br />Neal Diamond Tribute 8/18/2017. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.160 – Closing Hours. <br />The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.100 – Penal Bond – Bond of Indemnity. <br /> <br /> The permit fee has been paid and Staff has routed the <br />application and received a recommendation of approval from <br />the following departments: Sheriff, Public Health, Public <br />Works, Solid Waste, Prosecutor, Fire Marshal, Auditor <br />(Specific comments may been seen in the Department <br />Memo’s attached). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Special Event Applications from Swiftwater <br />Cellars to hold: Battle of the Tribute Bands 7/2/2017; Kings <br />of Country 8/8/2017 & Super Diamond: Neal Diamond <br />Tribute 8/18/2017. <br /> <br /> Prosecutor: the applicant must provide new Certificates of <br />Liability Insurance at least 3 days prior to each event. The <br />Ins. on file expires on 7/7/17 only covering the first event. <br /> <br />Fire Marshal: The seating is a fixed seating arrangement, as <br />is the stage. The egress points were discussed during the <br />inspection last year, however to reiterate, there shall be two <br />egress access points in the fencing, with a minimum opening <br />of 6 feet. <br /> <br />Auditor: Requested the applicant to be reminded that they <br />are subject to submitting Admissions Tax – noting that they <br />already registered. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Staff will notify the applicant of the Board’s decision & send <br />a copy to the Sheriff, Public Works, Public Health, Solid
