Special reasons for wishing to serve on the Board or Commission: <br />I have a vested interest in the behavioral health field. I strive through my job and personal life <br />to improve the quality of life for all .people with disabilities. The area of behavioral health and <br />recovery are in the early stages of recognition as real medical conditions many times <br />coexisting. People need resources to be productive members of the community. Recent <br />changes in laws allow for acceptance within systems. Social acceptance takes longer to <br />overcome.
