Through a contract arrangement they provide the following: <br />• Pianos <br />Central Washington University ` Music stands <br />• Platforms for the performers to use in the local venues <br />• Cooling fans to be used in the Main Pavilion <br />We also partner with the music department to subsidize clinics for students to <br />interact with professional jazz artists. This includes clinics at the local high <br />schools as well. <br />We offer yearly scholarships for Jazz students attending CWU. <br />For several years CWU has provided a Jazz camp for high school students from <br />across the Northwest. One year their groups performed for free on Saturday <br />morning (before the Festival began). Many of their families came to the <br />Festival for that reason with many spending the night. We hope timing of <br />competing music camps allows this to happen again. <br />Last year we closed the Festival with an outstanding performance by CWU Jazz <br />Band I, which was the winner of the prestigious Monterey Jazz's Next <br />Generation 2015 competition. <br />Wells Fargo Provides the location for our Main Stage in the heart of downtown Ellensburg. <br />They closed their drive-through on Friday to allow the festival to set-up. <br />Their concession trailer is used for our main box office during the Festival. <br />Ellensburg Rodeo Association Approximately 750 folding chairs that are used in the Rotary Pavilion and <br />other venues <br />In turn, JIV Board members volunteer for the Rodeo concession wagon during <br />the Rodeo weekend. <br />For seven years, through a contract arrangement, they provided two off-duty <br />Kittitas County Sherriff s Dept. Deputies to be on-site at the Main Stage from 8pm-lam both Friday and <br />Saturday nights during the Festival. <br />Off-duty police officers provided paid security at the Rotary Pavilion during the <br />Ellensburg Police Dept. Festival of the early years of the Festival. <br />Clymer Museum <br />Serves as a music venue during the festival. <br />Provides a wine tasting event the Saturday afternoon of the Festival <br />Serves as a music venue during the festival. <br />Gallery One <br />Provides a wine tasting event the Saturday afternoon of the Festival <br />Willing to partner by offering a 10% discount to festival attendees. Served as a <br />sales outlet for Logo wine tote during their wine tasting. <br />Other Businesses that have <br />Rodeo City BBQ The Dakota Cafe, Fitterer's Furniture, The Moose Lodge, The <br />served as music venues for <br />River at Grand Central, The Valley Cafe, The Palace, KV Realty's parking lot, <br />past Festivals <br />Club 301, Prosody, Sen Restaurant, Pink Catering, Pearls on Pearl. <br />Farmer's Market <br />Usually runs extended hours on that weekend <br />The Public Library <br />Decorates their lobby with memorabilia from the past Jazz Festivals. <br />KVH <br />Displays our posters in their entryways during the month of July <br />Application Questions Page 5 <br />
