television, print media, direct mailers, and radio. We estimate attendance for this event is 2,000. 1,200
people were counted at one time in the middle of the Farmers Market alone during the arts parade.
-Hometown Holidays runs from November to December and works to promote the entire county
throughout the holiday season. The EDA works with the Daily Record to create the annual Hometown
Holidays publication that covers events in Ellensburg, Roslyn, Cie Elum, Kittitas and more. The EDA
also host multiple events such as Cookie Scavenger Hunt, Plaid Friday, Moments to Remember, Girls
Night Out, and Teddy Bear Tea. Lodging Tax monies would be used to market these events via social
media, direct mailers, television, radio, and print media. Estimated attendance for all events is 4,000 plus
the general uptick in traffic that downtown sees during this season.
-The EDA prints over 20,000 downtown maps annually to be distributed to CWU, local hotels, and
downtown merchants. We also provide them for events like First Friday Art Walk and conferences.
Lodging Tax money would help print these maps in house.
