%.rJ UT�It7►N NO 17-007 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ROSLYN, <br />WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE PLEDGING <br />OF FUNDS FOR THE 2018 DISTRESSED COUNTY <br />SALES TAX GRANT. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roslyn provides stormwater collection service to citizens in Roslyn; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roslyn has identified the need to replace a portion of the stormwater <br />transmission line; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roslyn does not have the funds available to complete the project, and; <br />WHEREAS, the County of Kittitas has advertised for the 2018 Distressed County Sales Tax <br />Grant; and <br />WHEREAS, funds awarded pursuant to this grant may be used to finance public facilities, such <br />as water facilities, serving economic development purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roslyn desires to apply for the 2018 Distressed County Sales Tax Grant <br />in order to replace a portion of the stormwater transmission line; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Kittitas requires a match for the 2018 Distressed County Sales Tax <br />Grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSLYN, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />The City of Roslyn pledges $130,757.06 as a 14% grant match for the 2018 Distressed County <br />Sales Tax Grant Application. <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF THE <br />13''DAY OF JUNE, 2017.
