BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH PETROLEUM AND LUBRICANT PRODUCTS FOR 2018 <br />AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Petroleum and Lubricant Products for 2018 <br />on October 19, 2017 and October 26, 2017; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on November 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Kittitas County Public <br />Works Department and four (4) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: Due to errors within said bidding packages resulted in improper responses from <br />submitters; and <br />WHEREAS: Under Resolution 2017-180 said bids were rejected; and <br />WHEREAS: A Second Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Petroleum and Lubricant Products <br />for 2018 on November 24, 2017 and December 1, 2017; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on December 8, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Kittitas County Public <br />Works Department and three (3) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bids of A-1 Petroleum <br />for Schedule "A" and Schedule "C" be accepted; and <br />WHEREAS: No bids were received for Schedule `B'; and <br />WHEREAS: After negotiations, the current Vendor for Schedule "B", AmeriFuel, (formerly R.E. <br />Powell Distributing) has agreed to continue their accepted bid pricing from 2017, <br />awarded under Resolution 2017-005; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends the responsible bid of AmeriFuel, (formerly <br />R.E. Powell Distributing) for Schedule `B" be accepted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest of <br />the public, does hereby award the bid to furnish Petroleum and Lubricant Products for 2018 to A-1 <br />Petroleum for Schedule "A" and Schedule "C"; AmeriFuel, (formerly R.E. Powell Distributing) for <br />Schedule "B", upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract <br />documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />
