Costs of operating and maintaining trails in other similar Cities: <br />16 mile Spokane Centennial Trail/ Yakima Greenway/ io miles on Richland's Columbia River <br />trail io miles on Richland's Columbia River trail <br />Wyn Birkenthal, Director of Parks & Recreation, Richland, WA suggests that an Ambassador/ <br />Trail Maintenance Person/Contact person could runthe trail system, including maitenance, <br />events, Pace Car bollard removal for the system 6-8 months per year. This is based on his <br />experience with the Centennial trail and the Columbia River Trail in Richland. <br />Wyn's rescription for maintains a Centennial Trail in Spokane. <br />(16 miles of trail, 5 trailheads, 5 Restrooms, April -Oct = i FT person) <br />Sealcoat every 5 years <br />touch up and recompact gravel shoulders annually <br />weed control, sight distance maintenance qx year along natural border or. landscaping with trees <br />and grass would require some regular pruning and mowing. <br />If rollerblading there would be cleaning -sweeping every a weeks <br />trailheads/restroom maintenance <br />litter pick along trail minimal <br />litter pick up at trailheads definitely required weekly <br />Revenue sources (fiber optics?)
