Public Family expenses increase from approximately $25.8 million in 2026 to $27.8 million in 2027, with services and personnel representing the largest portions of the budget. The Family combines General Fund departments with dedicated revenue sources, enterprise activity, and restricted special revenue funds. Each has different levels of flexibility to support ongoing operations. Solid Waste, Community Development Services, lodging tax, and other departmental revenues contribute materially to the Family's funding profile. Revenue assumptions and cost -recovery practices should be monitored to ensure ongoing costs are supported. Evaluate personnel and operating cost growth against service demand, workload, and opportunities for coordination or technology - driven efficiencies. The key challenge is sustaining public -facing services while aligning recurring costs with reliable revenues, maintaining appropriate service levels, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
