SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY 9:00 AM August 12, 2026
Board members present: Jessica Hutchinson, Ann Shaw and Nicole Gessel.
Staff: Jessica Miller, Clerk.
The meeting was opened for the Board of Equalization (BOE) at 9: 00 a.m.

There are no citizen comments
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Jessica Hutchinson moved to approve the meeting minutes from April 1,
2026. Ann Shaw seconded. Discussion - None. Motion carried.
DISCUSS/DECISION - REQUEST TO REISSUE BOARD ORDERS
The BOE reviewed the email correspondence from the petitioner
representative stating they did not receive the Board Orders in the mail.
The petitioner representative had been in communication with the BOE clerk
regarding the Board Orders. They were informed that the Board Orders for
the petitions were mailed to the representative. The BOE clerk instructed
the petitioner representative to contact the Board of Tax Appeals (BTA)
for assistance. The petitioner representative told the clerk that the BTA
stated that they could request that the BOE reissue the Board Orders. The
BOE clerk contacted the Department of Revenue (DOR) for direction. The DOR
reviewed the BOE' s procedure and stated that it was followed and the DOR
found no errors in the procedure. The DOR stated that the BOE should meet
to discuss and stated to give this opportunity to one and not all is not
fair.
The BOE discussed the request to reissue the board orders.
Motion by Ann Shaw to deny the request to reissue the Board Orders. Nicole
Gessel seconded. Discussion - none. Motion carried 3-0.
Chair Hutchinson stated that she would write a letter to mail and attach
to an email to the petitioner.

There was no other business.
