"Class 1 Sound Level Meter" means a professional-grade sound level meter or <br /> monitoring system that meets or exceeds the requirements of ANSI/ASA S1.4-2014 (or <br /> Latest version) or IEC 61672-1 Class 1 (Precision) standards, is annually calibrated to <br /> NIST-traceable standards, and is operated in accordance with County protocols by <br /> trained enforcement personnel or authorized agents. <br /> 2. "Class 2 Noise Monitoring Device" means a commercially available, privacy- safe <br /> consumer-grade noise monitoring system (examples include but are not limited to <br /> Alertify, Minut, or County-approved equivalent devices)that: a. Does not record audio <br /> or video of guests or conversations; b. Measures and logs decibel levels (dBA)with date <br /> and time stamps; c. Provides real-time alerts to the operator or designated contact <br /> when noise levels exceed permitted limits; and d. Generates downloadable reports of <br /> noise data that can be provided to the County upon request. <br /> 3. "Confirmed Noise Violation" means a violation of the 80 dBA quiet-hours limit that <br /> is substantiated by data from an Approved Class 2 Noise Monitoring Device (initial tier) <br /> or by measurements taken with a Class 1 Sound Level Meter(post-upgrade tier), and <br /> verified as valid by Kittitas County Community Development Services or Code <br /> Enforcement. <br /> 4." Committed Violation" means a violation found to be substantiated by ruling of a <br /> court of law. <br />
