WHERHAS, the Kittitas County Law arrd Justice Cor-rncil was created and contlnues to
ope rate as an advisory corrmittee to tlre Lloard of CoLrnty Cor"nrnissiorrers;

WHEREAS, tlre Kittitas County Law and Justice Council furrctions as the rnechanism
for vetting ancl reconrrnending changes, irlprovenrents, arrd expenditLrres
of grant funds to the Roard of Cor-rnty Cornmissioners; and
WHHREA$, the Kittitas Courrty l-aw and Jr::;ticc CoLrncil, by majority vote at their dLrly
authorized atrd regular rneeting held on April 15, 2026, did approve these
changes to tlre Missiorr Statement and By-Laws of tlre Kittitas CoLrnty Law
and Justice Cor-rrrcil; and
WHERHAS, the proposeci ameridnrents to the Kittitas County Law and .Justice
CoLtncil's Mission Slatenrent and By-Laws are consistent with state law
and sound public policy.
