Kittitas County 1/10th of 1% Mental Health and Chemical <br /> Dependency Tax Advisory Board Meeting Minutes <br /> Kittitas County, Washington <br /> Commissioners' Auditorium <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> THURSDAY 1:00 PM FEBRUARY 26TH, 2026 <br /> Board Members Present: <br /> Catherine Crowley, Michael Karraker, Pamela Tuggle-Miles, Christopher West, Brett Wachsmith (Chair), <br /> Dr. Mark Larson,Jodi Larsen, Doug Fessler <br /> Excused: N/A <br /> Others: Emma Madland (Clerk), Kasey Knutson <br /> 1. Meeting called to order at 1:01 PM <br /> 2. Citizen Comments: N/A, Board members and guests all introduced themselves. <br /> 3. Approval of Minutes: <br /> MOTION TO APPROVE MINUTES FROM DECEMBER 2025: Michael Karraker moved to approve <br /> the December 2025 minutes. Pam Tuggle-Miles second. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 4. Next steps/Post-sunset Update <br /> Kasey Knutson gave the board a short presentation going over the history of the tax,the changes <br /> that are expected now that the sunset clause has been removed, and how we are testing out <br /> some RFP updates this year with a stop-gap funding cycle.This will allow our current contractors <br /> who would be stuck without funding in 2027 to reapply and fill the funding gap before the next <br /> public cycle. <br /> 5. RFP Feedback(Facilitated Discussion) <br /> Emma Madland led the group through an analysis of the previous RFP cycles.They discussed <br /> what has gone well and what could be improved as well as brainstorming changes they would <br /> like to see. <br /> 6. Other Business: <br /> a. Elect Vice-Chair(2026) <br /> The board nominated Cay Crowley to be the 2026 Vice-Chair. <br /> 1 <br />
