BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> NO. 2025 - <br /> A RESOLUTION FOR LEVYING TAXES FOR THE COUNTY ROAD FUND FOR <br /> MUNICIPAL PURPOSES OF KITTITAS COUNTY,WASHINGTON FOR THE YEAR <br /> 2026 ACCORDING TO THE ASSESSED VALUATION AS DETERMINED IN THE <br /> YEAR 2025. <br /> WHEREAS,the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners (`BOCC") has reviewed and <br /> is considering its 2026 Budget; and <br /> WHEREAS,the BOCC, after hearing and duly considering all relevant evidence and testimony <br /> presented. <br /> WHEREAS,Kittitas County's actual levy from the prior year was $9,182,568.01 and <br /> WHEREAS,the population of Kittitas County is greater than 10,000 <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br /> 1. An increase in the regular property tax levies of 1%above the previous year is hereby <br /> authorized to be collected in the 2026 tax year. <br /> 2. The dollar amount of the increase is $91,825.68. <br /> 3. This increase is exclusive of the additional revenue resulting from: <br /> a. new construction and improvements to property <br /> b. newly constructed wind turbines, solar, biomass, and geothermal facilities <br /> c. any increase in the value of state assessed property <br /> d. annexations that have occurred during the assessment year <br />
