KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> STUDY SESSION DATE: August 25, 2025 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Request for Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the <br /> Amendment of Contract No. K2617 between the <br /> Washington Conservation Commission and Kittitas County <br /> for the Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP) to Include <br /> the Scope of Work and Budget for an Additional Allocation <br /> of$40,000 of VSP Capital Funds To Initiate Any Projects <br /> Approved Through Conservation Practices Database <br /> System(CPDS). <br /> BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners <br /> authorized the execution of Contract K2617 between the <br /> Washington state Conservation Commission and Kittitas <br /> County for the Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP) on <br /> July 28, 2025 via Resolution 2025-139. This amendment <br /> authorizes the CDS Director to move forward with the <br /> additional allocation of$40,000 of VSP Funds for Capital <br /> Projects. <br /> INTERACTION: Kittitas County Community Development Services, Kittitas <br /> County Conservation District. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to amend the Contract No. K2617 <br /> between the Washington Conservation Commission and <br /> Kittitas County for the Voluntary Stewardship Program <br /> (VSP) to Include the Scope of Work and Budget for an <br /> Additional Allocation of$40,000 of VSP Capital Funds. <br /> HANDLING: Return one original to Community Development Services. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Contract No. K2617 Amendment#1 <br /> LEAD STAFF: Chad Bala, CDS Director <br />
