KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> Courthouse RM 201 , ELLENSBURG <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> TUESDAY 6: 00 PM May 13, 2025 <br /> Board members present: Bruce Coe, Joseph Pearson, Warren Taylor, <br /> Scott Carlson, Judith Jackson, and Bill Hinkle . <br /> Not present : Pat Deneen <br /> Others : Jeremy Johnston and Jessica Miller and no (0) members of <br /> the public . <br /> Meeting was called to order at 6: 00 P.M. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - Roll Call <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 min. time limit) <br /> There were no citizen comments . <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONER PEARSON moved to approve the April 8, 2025 minutes . <br /> COMMISSIONER CARLSON seconded. Discussion - none . Motion passed <br /> 5-1 . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> DISCUSSION - INTRODUCTION OF 2026-2031 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN <br /> LONG RANGE PLANNER JEREMY JOHNSTON provided an explanation of <br /> the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) updated for 2026-2031 . This <br /> is a requirement of the Growth Management Act . The goal is to <br /> help jurisdictions plan for necessary infrastructure <br /> improvements and identify funding sources for those <br /> improvements . The CIP includes elements like roads, water and <br /> sewer systems, education, flight control infrastructure and <br /> improvements, and many other projects . LONG RANGE PLANNER <br /> JOHNSTON issued the 60-day notice to commerce and the SEPA <br /> comment period was initiated. This item, with a few minor <br /> changes, will be brought back to the Planning Commission in June <br /> for a formal recommendation of approval to the Board of County <br /> Commissioners . <br /> 2025-5-13 MINUTES 1 <br />
