KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> JOINT BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS & PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> Courthouse RM 201, ELLENSBURG <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> TUESDAY 6: 00 PM March 11 , 2025 <br /> Planning Commission members present: Joseph Pearson, Scott <br /> Carlson, Warren Taylor, Pat Deneen, Bill Hinkle and Judith <br /> Jackson. <br /> Board of County Commissioners members present: Laura Osiadacz, <br /> Cory Wright, and Brett Wachsmith. <br /> Others : Chad Bala, Jamey Ayling, Jeremy Johnston, Ellie Myers, <br /> Bradley Gasawski, Zach Torrance-Smith, Clay White, Jessica <br /> Miller and zero (0) members of the public . <br /> Meeting was called to order at 6: 00 P.M. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 min. time limit) <br /> There were no citizen comments . <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONER DENEEN moved to approve the February 11, 2025 <br /> minutes . COMMISSIONER CARLSON seconded. Discussion - none . <br /> Motion passed 6-0 . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. JOINT BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS/PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> MEETING REGARDING 2025 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PERIODIC UPDATE <br /> CDS DIRECTOR CHAD BALA presented the staff report which included <br /> an initial briefing regarding the 2026 Annual Comprehensive Plan <br /> Periodic Update . This joint meeting is intended to provide the <br /> Board and Planning Commission members with the opportunity for <br /> general discussion and questions . CDS is required to update the <br /> Growth Management Act every ten years . Staff will be looking at <br /> the comprehensive plan, our land use policies, our development <br /> regulations and new legislation that had been enacted that staff <br /> will incorporate into those policies and development <br /> regulations . The goal is that by June of 2026 staff will have a <br /> document to submit to the Washington State Department of <br /> Commerce for review and approval . <br /> 2025-3-11 MINUTES 1 <br />
