2025 STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT
STUDY SESSION DATE: February 24, 2025
TOPIC: Short Term Rental Survey Update
ACTION REQUESTED: No action requested
BACKGROUND: KCCDS launched a short-term rental survey on February 4,
2025, and is scheduled to run for 60 days. The survey was
distributed in the Daily Record and posted to Kittitas
County social media. In the first two weeks we received
790 responses. Preliminary results suggest approximately
60% of respondents desire some STR regulations.
Questions with elaboration options provide a variety of
opinions on what level of regulation is desired.
