RESO 2016-01 <br /> Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care <br /> Council of Governments <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2016-01 <br /> IN THE MATTER OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SOUTHEAST <br /> WASHINGTON AGING AND LONG TERM CARE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br /> ADVISORY COUNCIL BYLAWS <br /> WHEREAS, the Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care <br /> Council of Governments, d/b/a Southeast Washington Aging and Long <br /> Term Care (ALTC), is responsible under 45 CFR Part 1321.57 to implement <br /> the Older Americans' Act to establish an agency Advisory Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care Council <br /> of Governments Interlocal Agreement recognizes the existing composition <br /> of the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council established under Yakima <br /> County and that all members of the Advisory Council were invited to <br /> continue under existing terms and the Governing Board addressed in its <br /> bylaws a process for filling vacancies for Advisory Council Membership and <br /> protocol to comply with the Aging and Disability Services Policies and <br /> Procedures Manual for Area Agencies on Aging Operations Chapter 4; and <br /> WHEREAS the Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care <br /> Advisory Council had bylaws that were not consistent with that protocol <br /> established in the bylaws and the Southeast Washington Aging and Long <br /> Term Care Advisory Council Chair appointed a bylaws committee to review <br /> the bylaws to ensure consistency with the Governing Board's protocol; and <br /> WHEREAS the Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care <br /> Advisory Council Bylaws Committee reviewed and drafted proposed <br /> modifications in the bylaws, which were presented with the entire <br /> membership group and the membership group had a majority vote to <br /> accept the modified bylaws. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Southeast Washington <br /> Aging and Long Term Care Council of Governments does hereby adopt and <br /> approve the Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care Advisory <br /> Council Bylaws <br />
