OCTOBER 16, 2023 <br /> Members present : Chairman Cory Wright, Jay Thompson, Mark Eylar, <br /> Bill Essman, Bridget Wood, Bradley Gasawski, and Gary Berndt <br /> Absent : Anita Boyum, Greg Parker, Ryan Gausman, Steve Worley, Dave <br /> Duncan, and Fred Slyfield <br /> Others : Kate Jimenez; Administrative Assistant, Hannah Bates; WDFW, <br /> Scott Griffith; WA State Parks, Owen Rowe; WA State Parks, John <br /> Boustev; WA State Parks, Jason Both; WA State Parks, Robert Kruse <br /> NO OFFICIAL MEETING WAS ABLE TO TAKE PLACE DUE TO LACK OF QUORUM. <br /> GINKGO CAMP AND EIS PROJECT TIMELINE PRESENTATION BY LAUREN BROMLEY <br /> Lauren Bromley, Parks Planner, gave a presentation on the GINKGO <br /> Petrified State Forest. Ms . Bromley' s presentation included the <br /> current condition/concerns of the park, and the 3 CAMP <br /> (Classification and Management Planning) process alternatives that <br /> Parks is considering for this area. Parks is also writing an EIS <br /> (Environmental Impact Statement) surrounding the recreation drive <br /> trail and trailhead. The EIS is intended to help land managers <br /> understand the impacts of partially or fully limiting vehicle use, <br /> as well as the natural and cultural resource impacts . The goal is to <br /> combine CAMP and EIS alternatives to map out one classification for <br /> the park that successfully balances recreation and land stewardship. <br /> 10/16/2023 MINUTES 1 <br />
