KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONER' S AUDITORIUM/WEBEX - ELLENSBURG <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> TUESDAY 6 : 00 PM July 12 , 2022 <br /> Board members in person: Chair Bruce Coe, Vice-Chair Warren <br /> Taylor, Joseph Pearson, Pat Deneen, Scott Carlson, and Michael <br /> Lundin. <br /> Board members via Webex: Jeremiah Cromie and Kelly Bacon . <br /> Not Present : Steve Douglas <br /> Others : Dan Carlson, Jeremy Johnston, Jessica Miller and (2) two <br /> members of the public. <br /> Meeting was called to order at 6 : 00 P.M. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - ROLL CALL <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by COMMISSIONER TAYLOR to approve the May minutes . <br /> Seconded by COMMISSIONER LUNDIN. Discussion - None . Motion <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> NOISE CONTROL ORDINANCE/RECCOMENDATION TO THE BOCC <br /> CDS DIRECTOR DAN CARLSON provided a background on the noise <br /> ordinance, specifically regarding the exemption on <br /> commercial animal establishments . At the previous meeting <br /> the Planning Commissioners concluded to recommend that they <br /> strike that exception from the noise ordinance . DIRECTOR <br /> CARLSON stated we are looking for a motion and vote to make <br /> a recommendation to the BoCC. <br /> Motion by COMMISSIONER LUNDIN to recommend changes to the <br /> BoCC with approval, with the recommendation that the <br /> standards presented to us are difficult to enforce and <br /> subjective in nature and recommend that they adopt the <br /> minimum sound pressure level test to determine an <br /> infraction. COMMISSION TAYLOR seconded. Discussion - <br /> Several Commissioners stated the 200 feet written in <br /> 9 . 45 . 030 should be something the BoCC should review as to <br /> whether it is appropriate or not . Motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> 2022-7-12 MINUTES 1 <br />
