KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> 2022 STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> AGENDA DATE: January 24, 2022 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Lease <br /> between the Sheriffs Office and the City of Cle Elum to <br /> Temporary Relocate the Search and Rescue Program <br /> BACKGROUND: In 2021,the City of Cle Elum and Kittitas County <br /> completed a land exchange creating a permanent location <br /> for relocating the Sheriffs Office Search and Rescue <br /> Program. The city is offering to temporarily house the <br /> program in its old Public Works facility. The City and the <br /> County have agreed to lease terms. The proposed lease is <br /> for a period of two years. The lease will cost $2,500/month <br /> plus utility costs and lease hold tax at 12.5 percent. The <br /> attached resolution authorizes the lease and the Sheriff <br /> signature on lease documents. <br /> INTERACTION: Public Works; Sheriffs Office <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to authorize the lease and the <br /> Sheriffs signature on lease documents. <br /> HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: Resolution with lease. <br /> LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
