The maximum is pro-rated for regular part-time employees. Employees
with a total of two hundred forty (240) hours accumulated vacation may continue to
accumulate hours earned during a current calendar year provided that those additional
vacation hours are used within that year. If said accumulated vacation hours in excess of
the maximum are not used by December 31 of any given year, then said hours shall
lapse. In no event can any employee be paid greater than two hundred forty (240) hours
of accumulated vacation upon separation or retirement.
COVID-19 Special Exception: Due to the pandemic-related travel restrictions in 2020, the
vacation carry over cap will be waived. Employees who have more than 240 hours in their
vacation bank at the end of 2020 will be allowed to carry the full amount into 2021. As of
December 31, 2021 the cap of 240 will be reinstated, and the regular provisions of 14.3
will resume. Any employee who leaves employment during 2021 will receive no more
than two hundred forty (240) hours annual leave paid at the time of termination or
retirement.
The remainder of the CBA will remain unaltered.
By acceptance and signature below, both parties agree that these solutions were reached
through mutual understanding.
I I P a g e
